Phoenix Clog danced as guests of Hi Jinx, on Saturday 28th June, to celebrate the visit of their fellow Appalachian Clog side, Hot Footers, from Brittany, in France. Together with Broadwood Morris (Cotswold) and Sun Oak (Clog Stepping), Phoenix added North West Morris to the other styles of dancing on display. Meeting in the morning, at Lower Beeding village, near Horsham, the dancers went by coach to the Crown, Cootham, where they performed on the pub patio, before having lunch. From here, the Sides moved on to the Amberley Museum, where they danced in front of the Limeburners Restaurant, after which they had a brief hour to wander around the large open-air museum, before returning to Lower Beeding, firstly for a music session, at the Plough in the village, before the dancers re-gathered at the Village Hall for dinner, followed by Social dancing. |
